Reminders regarding Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

Colleagues,

I wanted to once again touch base on the Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy and share a few reminders.

Under this policy, municipal employees, students, work placements and volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We continue to work towards full vaccination by December 15.

Many of you have already provided proof of vaccination and I sincerely thank you for that. We must all do our part to protect one another and ensure our workplace is a safe, healthy environment for everyone.

If you haven’t already done so, please provide your proof of full vaccination to your manager/supervisor as soon as possible. The deadline is December 3, or January 12 for those waiting 8 weeks between doses. If you plan to be fully vaccinated by January 12, you must confirm by December 3 that you have commenced the vaccination process by showing your proof of first dose.

We have now passed the November 3 deadline for first doses. Processes are in place should you need to request an accommodation. Please speak with your manager/supervisor if you have any questions or concerns.

By getting vaccinated and following public health measures, we can help stop the spread of this contagious virus. Vaccinations protect people from contracting COVID-19 or becoming seriously ill. Please visit the intranet to access further resources.

Thank you for your adherence to the policy and your ongoing commitment to health and safety.

Wela’lioq, amities, kind regards,

Jacques
